Bacup Coconutters 2009

 

Bacup is a small town in the Northern English county of Lancashire. Each Easter Saturday a group of locals don their tradition costumes, blacken their faces, and dance from the boundary on one side of the town to the boundary on the other. These are some of the photographs I took on Easter Saturday 2009.
