The highlight of the trip was the drive along the French side of the Pyrenees. Beautiful countryside and wonderful small towns to stay in. I attempted to cross the over the Pyrenees from France to Spain via the high altitude passes, but with the temperature gauge of the car hitting red I turned around and crossed using the tunnels.

The holiday began in St Benoit du Sault at the end of August. I wanted to take some photographs of the annual cattle fair that is held on the last Saturday of August. Once the photographs were in the bag I headed south towards Spain.

For the technically inclined all the colour photographs were taken using a Canon 20D with various Canon lenses. Most of the black and white photographs were taken with a Leica M6 and Leica lenses.
