| I took these photographs in the small coal mining village
of Gin Pit near Manchester in the north of England. Of course there is no mine there anymore,
there isn't even a shop nowadays. There is however still the social club
that was originally built for the mining community's 'relaxation'. These
photographs were taken on the playing fields that belong to the club. If you interested in learning a little more about coal mining in the UK

also an excellent photographer who also uses Leica cameras and lenses.
