Week 37: Rhyl and London

Filed under: Uncategorized — sunsworth @ 8:11 pm

I’ve used a photograph of this week’s PAW before, but this time I returned and got the shot I wanted first time around – on that occasion there was a car parked on the pavement slap bang in the middle of the shot.

Main

The last time I was in Rhyl the funfair was open but obviously not doing very well. This time it was closed. There is a sign indicating that it’s to be demolished and a supermarket and flats built on the site. Another piece of my childhood disappears.

Alternatives

Another one from Rhyl, this time of the beach. There weren’t many people about. but it was good kite flying weather.

Finally I had a trip into London’s Chinatown this week. I don’t normally like shots taken from behind, but I’ve made an exception for this. I like the detachment that the shallow depth of field puts between the girl in the foreground and the men in the background. Although the scene may appear to be a little threatening, in reality that wasn’t the case.

  1. Hi. Just going through your site looking at the great photos.
This one of the closed fun fair looks superb, the black and white is perfect for it.
