These are photographs I took at the 2008 Appleby
Horse Fair in Appleby In Westmorland. The fair has been held there since
1645 and attracts thousands of people buying and selling horses,
together withl thousands of visitors. Many of the sellers prepare their
horses for sale by washing them in the River Eden, and this is a popular
spot for visitors as they watch the horses being groomed.
