The former steel mill in Völklingen, Germany is
now a museum and a UNESCO world heritage site. Spread over many acres
only a small part is open to the public, but even that is epic in its
scale. This was heavy industry with a capital 'H'. The photographs in
this slideshow were taken within the plant.
